Billy’s Best Bottles offer for passes Niagara’s ‘Taste the Season’ is over – thanks to everyone who wrote in!
This is a fab event put on by the wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Check out VQA wines and locally prepared dishes at each of the 26 member wineries. Taste the Season takes place the next three weekends in November (12/13, 19/20, 26/27). Go and have a great time.

The Rex is one of the last remaining old Toronto Taverns – the real thing. There’s jazz seven nights a week and afternoons too on the weekend, but it’s the time warp tavern atmosphere of the place that draws me back. No bouncer on the door or pretentious staff – but clean enough to take your girl. One of my favourite TO outings is a fancy downtown dinner, followed by a few night caps and jazz at the Rex. Check it out.
