Which Wine with Lunch?

One of the advantages of working from home is the freedom to havewine with lunch. It’s as close as your fridge. And as I’m tasting most mornings, I’ve no shortage of open bottles.

Enough about my hard life, and on with a wine tip. Bone dry whites are usually not a good choice with lunch. While they’re great in the evening for kick-starting the taste buds (and getting you in the mood for drinking), tamer/gentler whites seem to work better with lunch. I’m finding that off-dry whites are best of all. They add to the experience without creating the desire to continue drinking. The slight sweetness calms and satisfies. It’s almost easy to get back to work!
