Collaborate with Billy’s Best Bottles for a unique and rewarding hands-on wine tasting experience where we encourage teamwork, learning and FUN. Your group will taste, reevaluate ‘old wine school’ ideas, discover fresh observations, and empower each other to express opinions. Wine tasting is intimate by nature – but it is also an effective vehicle to break down internal status structures and reinforce every participant’s voice.
We integrate learning with successful and fun team building interactive games. Our ‘Wine School’ can take place at your office, restaurant, or another location of your choice, and can work in conjunction with other activities such as cooking classes, meetings or dinners. Each seminar is custom designed to suit the personalities and wine knowledge level of the group.
Prices typically start at $50 per participant plus travel expenses, and are priced per session, depending on size and wine selections. Sessions are typically 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours in length, but can be modified to suit your needs. Group size can vary from 20 to 150. All participants receive a copy of Canada’s coolest and most useful wine book, Billy’s Best Bottles Wines for 2010. Contact us to discuss your individual needs.

1. Wine by Mood
Our Wine by Mood seminar is ideal for anyone interested in getting more enjoyment out of wine, and wanting to overcome ‘wine fear’ and intimidation. After a little ‘Wine 101′, you’ll discover that each wine belongs to one of our 6 mood categories – you’ll identify what category each wine belongs in, and then discover the best use for it. It’s an experience that will boost your confidence and open up a new world of possibilities for pleasure.
2. Becoming a WINE DJ
Are you up for a little education mixed with innovation and entertainment? WIne is a mood experience much like music and we can learn a lot about matching wine to mood by paying attention to what we already understand about music.
“Wine and music play similar roles in our lives – let’s use our understanding and natural ability to match music with mood to springboard our ‘wine playing’ skills. Matching the spirit or character of a wine to an event is the great overlooked challenge in wine. The person who knows which wine to play is the real wine expert.”
You’ll taste different wine styles, experience their music partners and get a whole new take on selecting the right wine.

3. The Wine Dating Game
A great way to understand ‘Grape 101′. After this seminar, you’ll walk away with a greater understanding of what each grape ‘personality’ is, and how for instance, a Cabernet Sauvignon is different from a Pinot Grigio. We’ve created characters (of both genders) to personify 8 major varietals. See who you’re ‘dating’ in your glass! And once you know WHO you’re dating, you’ll be able to figure out WHERE to take them!
