The Wine Dating Game, is an interactive, flash, web-based game that combines wine education with entertainment.

In The Wine Dating Game, wine grape types are personified as engaging characters, each with a distinctive personality reflecting its intrinsic nature. Based loosely on the 1960s hit, The Dating Game, the user chooses two 'wine contestants' to play off for a ‘date’. Then, the user selects five questions to ‘ask’ each, and based on their answers, picks the most appropriate wine companion for the mood or situation they have in mind. Answers are recorded in a little black book to determine who 'wins' the date. Party planners for each grape type (which includes entertaining tips, complimentary food ideas and product information), can be downloaded at any time.

Questions and answers are creatively constructed to give contestants a clear sense on how each wine differs. The characters help us to understand the best use for each wine as well as remember the ‘personality’ behind a specific grape variety. The Wine Dating Game is fun, easy to understand and quick to play – and it’s loaded with practical information. Don't forget to download the party planners!

The game was conceived, written and art directed by Billy Munnelly and Kato Wake, who have successfully used 'wine characters' and imagery in Billy’s Best Bottles wine seminars for several years.
